NetWorldMedia’s Privacy Policy applies to all of the services offered by NetWorldMedia Inc. and/or its affiliated companies. These Services may be located on our websites or on third party websites and/or applications. The instances in which NetWorldMedia collects, uses and discloses personal information are described in this Privacy Policy.
Because NetWorldMedia values its users and their concerns about privacy, the company engages in consistent information practices and uses its best efforts to make clear disclosures regarding our privacy practices.
1.0 Types of Information collected:
NetWorldMedia offers multiple interactive advertising services that may or may not require you to register for an account or provide personal information, such as your name, email address or billing information. In order to provide these services, we usually collect the following types of information:
Account Information - When you sign up for a NetWorldMedia Advertising, Agency or Publisher account, you may be asked to provide us with your personal information, such as your name, email address, password and billing information (which we maintain in encrypted form on secure servers). We may share personal information among our various services in order to customize content and enhance our services for you, however, no account information is ever shared with anyone other than within NetWorldMedia except as specified in the Privacy Policy or with your consent.
As required, we may combine your account information with information from other NetWorldMedia services or from third parties in order to improve the quality of our services. For certain services, we may give you the opportunity to opt out of combining such information.
Cookies - When you visit NetWorldMedia, or one of our partner sites, we send one or more cookies to your computer. These cookies contain identification information that enables us to see how our users are interacting with our services and helps us to streamline their experiences. Our cookies do not contain any personal information. Cookies let us know about repeat visitors and if we are delivering quality products and services. Log Information - When you use NetWorldMedia services, our servers automatically record information that your browser sends whenever you visit a website. User Communications - When you send email or other communication to NetWorldMedia, we may retain your communications in order to process your inquiries, respond to your requests and improve our services.
Affiliated Sites - We offer some of our services in connection with other web sites. Personal information that you provide to those sites may be sent to NetWorldMedia in order to deliver the service. Links - NetWorldMedia may present links in a format that enables us to keep track of whether these links have been followed. We use this information to improve the quality of our customized content and advertising.
2.0 Use of Information Collected
NetWorldMedia only processes personal information for the purposes described in the Privacy Policy. NetWorldMedia does not rent, sell or share personally identifiable information about visitors to the NetWorldMedia websites. However, NetWorldMedia may share this information with selected partners, vendors, agents or others who work on our behalf, in order to provide our products and services to users, including the display of customized content and advertising, or for the following reasons:

NetWorldMedia may share information about you if NetWorldMedia is acquired by or merged with another company. In this event, NetWorldMedia will notify you before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
Please note that we may also share information in the event that we are asked to respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims, or as otherwise permitted by law.
In addition, we may share with third parties certain pieces of aggregated information, such as the number of users who searched for a particular term, for example, or how many users clicked on a particular advertisement. Such information does not identify you individually.
3.0 Sensitive Personal Information
When you sign up for a particular service that requires registration, we may ask you to provide Sensitive Personal information. We will not collect or use Sensitive Personal information (which includes information we know to be related to confidential medical information, racial or ethnic origins, political or religious beliefs or sexuality and tied to personal information) for purposes other than those described in this Policy and/or in the specific service notices, unless we have obtained your prior consent.
You can decline to submit Sensitive Personal information to any of our services, in which case NetWorldMedia may not be able to provide those services to you.
4.0 Information security
We take appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction of data. These include internal reviews of our data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures, as well as physical security measures to guard against unauthorized access to systems where we store personal data.
We restrict access to personal information to NetWorldMedia employees, contractors and agents who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve our services. These individuals are bound by confidentiality obligations and may be subject to discipline, including termination and criminal prosecution, if they fail to meet these obligations.
5.0 Changes to this policy
NetWorldMedia’s websites are P3P enabled. The Platform for Privacy Preferences Project (P3P) enables Web sites to express their privacy practices in a standard format that can be retrieved automatically and interpreted easily by user agents. P3P user agents will allow users to be informed of this sites practices (in both machine- and human-readable formats) and to automate decision-making based on these practices when appropriate. Thus users need not read the privacy policies at every site they visit. Taken together with this Privacy Policy, they present a clear snapshot of how NetWorldMedia handles personal information about its users. 6.0 Changes to this Policy
Please note that this Privacy Policy may change from time to time. We will not reduce your rights under this Policy without your explicit consent, and we expect most such changes will be minor. Regardless, we will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by placing a prominent notice on this site.
7.0 General
This Agreement will be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws in effect in Canada and in the province of Quebec and the competent courts of Montreal will have exclusive jurisdiction over any proceedings. This Agreement, and any modifications thereof, constitutes the entire agreement between the parties with respect to the subject matter hereof.
